Owlboy (Limited Edition)

Having been stuck in development for almost ten years, 2D pixel art platformer Owlboy finally made its way onto PC to widespread critical acclaim back in 2016. Two years later developer D-Pad Studio also released the game on current generation consoles, and online reviews suggest the game has not lost any of its charm since its original release. However, if you are still on the fence about it chances are the upcoming Limited Edition might win you over.

Owlboy is a story-driven platform adventure game, where you can fly and explore a brand new world in the clouds! Pick up your friends, and bring them with you as you explore the open skies. Overcome obstacles and greater enemies, in one of the most detailed adventures of this era. Being a mute, Otus struggles living up to the expectations of owl-hood. Things spiral from bad to worse with the sudden appearance of sky pirates. What follows is a journey through monster infested ruins, with unexpected encounters, well kept secrets, and burdens no one should have to bear.

With the Limited Edition box (available in two colours matching their respective release platform) you will also get an Owlboy themed notebook, sticker sheet, two buccanary coins and pins along with a matching box to keep them safe, and Jonathan Geer’s lovely original soundtrack.

The Limited Edition will be available for PlayStation 4 and Switch, though it only seems to be listed on Amazon US and DE at the moment. Despite the original game also being available on XBox One there seems to be no release of the Limited Edition scheduled for it.
