Darksiders III arrives as both Collector’s & Apocalypse Edition

It’s time to saddle up again as the Four Horsemen (and -women) of the Apocalypse make their return in Darksiders III later this year. Developed by Gunfire Game and published by THQ Nordic, this time players will control Fury, sister of War and Death who made their appearance in the original 2010 and 2012 games respectively.

Return to an apocalyptic Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash Action Adventure where players assume the role of FURY in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The most unpredictable and enigmatic of the Four Horsemen, FURY must succeed where many have failed – to bring balance to the forces that now ravage Earth.

Apart from the standard release THQ Nordic have announced not only one but two special editions of their upcoming game.

The Collector’s Edition

Apart from the game itself (something which needs to be pointed out every now and then considering some releases of late) the Collector’s Edition includes a steelbook, the official soundtrack, a Darksiders III artbook, and a 29cm large figurine of the game’s protagonist Fury.

The Collector’s Edition will be available for $149.99 and could already be considered a nice set of collectible items by itself. However…

The Apocalypse Edition

Arriving in a whoopin’ 120cm premium box the Apocalypse Edition features all items present in the Collector’s Edition, and then some! Housed in this box are three additional figurines including previous protagonists War and Death, and a small amulet. On top of that you will also get a 77x100cm wall scroll to decorate one of the walls not already occupied by the many premium boxes you probably own already.

As far as sheer box sizes go this is probably the most impressive release from the recent past. At $399.99 its price tag certainly is equally impressive, though.

Both editions will be available from November 27th.
